TUESDAYS WITH GLORIA

Well, I cannot access my classroom this afternoon, so I'd thought I'd blog a bit. My friend came back to work today, and it was so good to see her. She said her doctors do not know why she is having those seizures, and why there was a sudden onset at the age of 55. Both times she had them at work, and was looking at a very old computer monitor. They took care of that and gave her a flat screen, so hopefully that will help. It's just all so strange.
I live my life these days as measured by how many days there are till swimming season. Those of you who do not know me must learn quickly that my swimming pool is my friend. After about 50 years of being on this earth there was NOTHING that would get me outside in the summer, except that pool. I hated summers, because I hated the heat. NOW - I look forward to summer and swimming season. So we can measure here.
I can safely say that around Derby time, It's time to start the preparation. So. There are about 8-9 weeks until Thunder over Louisville (opening ceremony for Derby festival). Then about 2 more weeks, and it's time. Ahhhhhhhh. I look at that old, ugly cover on it and it makes me sad. I actually shed tears when it's time to close it for the season. But in 10-11 weeks, it may be time once again. All together now. . . Ahhhhhhhh
Well I must go and try to get into the school classroom again. Don't you think it's amazing that I can earn a college degree in my jammies. . . . Later folks

Good Morning all. I posted this picture because of my daughter Dianna. She has slowed down on her computering and she says her house is cleaner. There you go nanna.

It's Monday and I am getting ready to jump in the shower and head to work. This is a short week, and by that I mean - I have Friday off. I love the long weekends.

Well, I'm trying to break some of my smoking habits, and I will have to say that this is going to be harder than expected. I'm already grumpy from smoking in the garage. Can you imagine what it's going to be once the nicotine stops. I would have normally had one or two cigarettes just from typing to you guys (girls).

Special Note to Lemon Deb. I want to check out our blog, but form some reason I can't access it. I guess I need a direct link. When I go to respond, it takes me back to my own profile. I already know about me-self, just want to stop by and say howdy. I've been successful in responding to Linney and all, but don't know how I did it. Some of them there blogging whipper-snappers need to come over and teach me a lesson. Hmm maybe that's give me a lesson. Oh well - show me how.

Off to work folks. . . .

Fast Forward

Fast forward now and its suddenly Sunday again Yup, I still hate Sundays and it's the regular hum-drums.

Johnny and Angie came for a visit and it is nice to have them. Dianna/Kyle and the kiddos will be here soon, and it will be nice. The problem is they all go home and it's back to the ho-hum Sundays.

Well, I'm going to try and quit smoking next Friday Feb 4. They are having classes at work and all and that is the date that was set. I have already started to break some of the habits, like smoking in my computer room. I have removed the nasty ash trays and have banished myself to the garage or outside. Once some of the habits are broken, hopefully it will be easy - NOT!!!!!

And. . . .Oh. . . .yea, ahem, check out me comments. People are now dropping by. I'm trying to respond to some of them, but I get lost in blogger-hell and am not successful.

Sleepy Saturday Morning

What am I talking about, sleepy Saturday Morning? I must be out of my head. I was up at 12:30 doing school work - What is the matta with me. I did go back to sleep though for a bit and am still in my PJs and it's nearly 11.

Shhhhhh listen - the laundry is calling me and I am not wanting to hear it. My day is going to be consumed with Tide, Downy, Hot Water, Cold Water, Agitate, Spin, Rinse and U of L basketball. Hope they play a clean game. . . har har.

Hopefully Johnny is coming in today. It's been awhile since he's been here, and I miss him. For those of you who read this (Ha!!!) (Hey Mary O-Lee), Johnny is my son of whom I am very proud. He's a lawyer. He worked very hard to get where he's at, and it makes my heart want to burst.

Well the voices in my head are calling me. . . (still listening?) they are saying "wash me". No, I'm not scizo, just having a laundry denial moment.

Hey, I'm practicing uploading pics. I chose this one of Michael because he is the king of dirty clothes. Good Kid, but he wears his clothes for days sometimes.

Da Blog

No bloggers for me. I guess I must be purdy darned boring and stuff. How does one obtain blogging friends? I even paid my daughter big bucks to pimp my blog for me. That's sad. Don't senior citizens blog? I can compare aches and pains with the best of 'em.

I've been so busy lately. My friend recouperated from her seizure quite nicely. She will be back to work on Tuesday - Yea. I'm glad she isn't off for three months this time. Work isn't the same without her. My old boss comes back and my friend goes out - Dang it.

I am bored out of my wits as you may tell from my ramblings. I have nothing to report except that we had Brats for dinner and I am full and fat.

SLEEP

As I sit here waiting for my car to de-ice I'll discuss sleep. It comes when you need it believe me. After dinner last night I laid down on the couch at 7 pm, in anticipation of American Idol and a U of L game. I woke up at 4:00 this morning - missing both.

Typically I would switch back and forth with the remote. U of L won (finally) and I'm not sure what happend on AI. Waaaaaaaa

Sleep is a wonderful thing, but there isn't any time for it. But man - it feels good to get enough of it. What a conundrum !!!

Time to go to work now.

Hey It's Me.

Well, I guess I can welcome myself to my own blogging expeirence, because I'm not sure where everyone is, and hopefully someone will find this somehow, and I can now blog with the best of them.

I copied my daughter's format because, simply put, I don't know what the hell I am doing. I don't even know how to post pictures or add something about myself. Great fun I'll be.

Welcome to all who view this, and hopefully I can find my way back to blogdom.
